No water bath needed...I can get their recipe if you're interested. On the other hand, we bought a pressure cooker off craigslist that had been used only once- it's huge, made for canning, and when we drag it out canning is super quick!Chicago Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10824131635259985128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2029445551851503766.post-19656007201463001402009-11-18T07:53:10.944-06:002009-11-18T07:53:10.944-06:00i've frozen & preserved quite a bit for th...i've frozen & preserved quite a bit for this year, but i, too, do not think it will all last.

also, i made a lot of salsa this summer & i added plenty of different vegetables. i do not know if it makes a difference when using tomatoes for tomato sauce or tomatoes for salsa, but mine turned out great & i didn't use a pressure cooker!

great work!! your jars look beautiful :)Natalie Freemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02163145877344840630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2029445551851503766.post-48443544221457444922009-11-18T06:30:19.948-06:002009-11-18T06:30:19.948-06:00I was really hoping I would be able to can tomatoe...I was really hoping I would be able to can tomatoes this year, but the blight changed my plans.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10790498956206713440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2029445551851503766.post-15546468873281656462009-11-18T06:23:40.576-06:002009-11-18T06:23:40.576-06:00Nice work! This year we just slow roasted a bunch and layered them in jars with olive oil, garlic and herbs to keep in the fridge. They are amazing but they won't last all year either.leedavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15206074013698470235noreply@blogger.com
