last week marked the fourth birthday of this little blog! i know, it's just crazy talk. i'm pretty sure i write this every year (and i'm actually pretty sure that i write that every year), but i can still remember sitting on the couch in our old apartment starting up this blog thing and having absolutely no idea of the journey it would lead me on. most importantly, having absolutely no idea of all of the lovely people it would lead me to. {that would be all of you}.
it has changed my life, literally
and to thank you, well one of you, for being such an amazing piece of this journey, i'm doing my annual blog birthday giveaway! i don't yet know what i'll be giving away, but it will be good. (and i promise to try to mail it sooner than i did last year, sorry claire!).
as you may have noticed, things have been a bit quiet here lately. largely because life, work mostly, has been so draining lately, but also because i'm in a period of just not knowing exactly what to share here. so, if you would, leave a comment before next monday (3/7) telling me what you like best about this blog and what you'd like to see more of in the future. this is not just me fishing for compliments, i really want to hear what you like reading/seeing here. is it the recipes, the craftyness, the photos, the ramblings? why do you take a few precious moments from your day to come here and look around? i'd like to know. i'll pick a random winner on monday.
thank you for being here. again.
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI like the photos of Freddie.
Also the photos of food.
Also the photos of the outdoors.
See you tonight.
happy birthday blog! i really love all of your photos although i definitely enjoy everything else you share here too. i'm having a similar problem of not knowing what to share on my blog. over the years it's become a huge mish mash of things have interests have come and gone.
ReplyDeletehappy bday to the blog! Your blog is the reason that my blog exists. I would never have had an interest in such a thing if it wasn't for all this inspiration! Keep those photos coming!
ReplyDeletehappy blogiversary julia! I'm so glad to have you around. Although I just like reading anything you post, I really enjoy your posts about cooking/canning. xo, rach
ReplyDeletehi j! happy blog birthday. i love reading about all of your projects in the garden and in the kitchen. xo
ReplyDeleteI love it all. You keep it real and that's what I like. Happy blog-iversary!
ReplyDeletehappy birthday, dear blog! i like reading what you're up to, period. no need to change!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about your blog... More of everything please
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Minecreations!
ReplyDeleteI love the recipes, especially. And also when you share garden and backyard photos. Oh! And your polaroids...
But really? What I like the most is the way that you talk about things, the familiar way of telling us something... It's like having tea with you talking across the table.
I just found you last month though Habit, so it was your photos that drew me here. I stuck around because I enjoy reading about food and crafty things, and I like your tone. Congrats on 4 years.
ReplyDeleteha! oh i remember how winning that made my day! as well as recieving it :)
ReplyDeletejulia, i love these little glimpses into your life, no matter what you chose to share. i especially love your homemades. you are such an inspiration. xx
Happy blogaversary! I echo Sarah in Indiana's comment - the pictures also brought me here from Habit, I also like food and crafty things, and your tone is so lovely. I was going to write all of those things before I read her comment, really! Congratulations. :)
ReplyDeletephotos, recipes and crafts. I love both the words and the photos. I love how you can tell a story with so few words.
ReplyDeleteyep.
ReplyDeletephotos.

Happy Blogaversary! I like the variety. If it was only 1 thing it would get boring.
