my little list for 2010

This past week, I've been thinking a lot about some goals for this year. I'm hesitant to make big resolutions that I know I won't keep because, well, that just sucks when you look back and realize you didn't achieve your grand plans. And I'm even hesitant to make a long list of little, achievable things that, if I really set to my list, I could definitely accomplish.

So, in the spirit of Rachel's post, I'm going to make a short list of a few wishes for this year.

:: frame and hang up more of my art collection (already started this last night!), including one of my own photographs (can you believe I don't have any of my photos hanging up in our home?!)

:: make new cushions for our little loveseat

:: have friends over for dinner more often, maybe even set a monthly dinner party

:: restock (and keep stocked) my stationery collection (and I suppose it goes without saying that this will lead to more letter writing)

:: buy more music, and see more live music

:: find time to be creative every single day, even if it's just 15 minutes...but hopefully more.

:: continue with our "meal planning"...we've been successful so far, setting and making three full meals each week, and only having to go shopping once a week for all the ingredients.

So, there you have it. My little goals for the year. I've already begun on many of these, so I feel like it's a quite achievable list. I'm sure I'll come up with some more goals as the year goes by, in fact, there already are some others that I'm not including. What's on your little list for the year?

{PS: this photo is just a teeny sneak peek of my new little studio! It will be painted shortly, and then I'll be able to really set it up and share more with you. I am SO excited to have a little space to myself. Not so exciting is the neon green that currently covers the walls...}

  1. I think it's so important to have one's own space for thoughts. And I really like the idea of making at least 15 minutes of creative time each day. I should do that too.

    good luck with the meal plan... it is so satisfying to have all of your meals planned & the ingredients at home for when you're ready to cook.
